Areas that have the capacity and ability may conduct voluntary selective laboratory testing of persons requiring centralized 14-day medical observation outside of the "4 classes" (persons other than confirmed cases, suspected cases, those with fever, and those who have had close contact with cases). Those whose testing results meet the assessment criteria, they may leave centralized observation points early.

I. Procedure for Collecting Samples and Testing

Collect nasopharyngeal swab specimens on the third day of medical observation, and collect nasopharyngeal swab specimens and serum specimens on the fifth day, and return the test results within 24 hours.

II. Standards for Assessing Results

(1) Persons who test negative for (SARS-COV-2) RNA twice and negative for specific serum IgM can be released from centralized medical observation after 7 days of centralized quarantine, whereafter they can be incorporated into the community management network and complete the rest of the 14-day medical observation at home.

(2) Persons who test positive once for either viral RNA or specific serum IgM should be managed as asymptomatic SARS-COV-2 carriers.

III. Other

If symptoms of fever or sore throat manifest during the observation period, they shall be transferred for treatment at a designated medical establishment.
